We are seeking an experienced professional with knowledge within oil and gas construction with a passion for project planning. We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Planner to join our team in Norway. This has potential to be a Hybrid position.
This is a contract position for an initial 12 month period, with the potential to extend. Your expertise will play a crucial role in this prestigious gas field project located in the North Sea. Join us in Verdal, Norway, and be part of an exhilarating journey encompassing engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of a complete wellhead platform.
Due to the size of the project we encourage applications from both those candidates with a couple of years experience as well as those with 10+ years.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate, develop and maintain project schedules, meticulously capturing project activities, milestones, changes and critical paths.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and create comprehensive project plans.
- Monitor project progress vigilantly, identifying and mitigating potential risks or delays.
- Lead engaging project status meetings, delivering updates to key stakeholders and resolving scheduling conflicts with finesse.
- Uphold strict adherence to project timelines and deliverables while proactively resolving project-related challenges.
- Foster seamless communication among multidisciplinary teams to achieve the project goals.
- Harness the power of cutting-edge project management software and tools to track and report project progress
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a strong background in project planning large scale projects (ideally in oil and gas construction).
- Excellent knowledge in MS Project, Primavera P6 and scheduling tools.
- Ability to deep-dive into the core project planning: understanding linkages between activities, highlight schedule conflicts and to resolve easily.
- Display impeccable attention to detail and superb organisational abilities, effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels. Being able to speak Norwegian would be an advantage.
- Showcase a strong grasp of health, safety, and environmental regulations within the oil and gas industry.
