Solar Project Managers

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (required)

• Master’s degree or MBA (preferred)

• Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable

• Additional certifications in solar energy (e.g., NABCEP PV Installation Professional) are a plus

Experience

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in solar energy projects, with at least 3 years in a project management role

• Proven track record of managing commercial or utility-scale solar projects from inception to completion

• Experience in procurement, permitting, budgeting, scheduling, and contractor management

• Previous exposure to grid-tied and off-grid PV systems, battery storage, and hybrid energy systems (preferred)

Technical & Project Skills

• In-depth knowledge of solar PV technology, components, and system integration

• Familiarity with project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar)

• Strong understanding of local electrical codes, health & safety regulations, and environmental compliance

• Ability to read technical drawings, interpret design specifications, and coordinate with engineering teams

• Competence in overseeing EPC contracts, subcontractor management, and site supervision
