Select Offshore are looking to fill the below opportunity.
Job title: Third Engineer

Start Date: Start of June
Duration: 6 week rotations
Requirements:
The Third Engineer is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient operation and maintenance of all engine room machinery and auxiliary systems onboard a jack-up vessel. The role ensures compliance with UK maritime regulations, company procedures, and offshore safety standards.

Requirements:
- STCW III/1 Officer of the Watch (Engineering) Certificate of Competency (minimum)
- Valid STCW basic safety training (including updated refresher courses)
- ENG1 Medical Certificate
- Designated Security Duties (STCW)
- Must hold UK Passport or a UK Work Permit
- Previous experience on jack-up vessels
- Familiarity with Dynamic Positioning vessels
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience as a Junior/3rd Engineer or equivalent
- Experience in offshore energy sector preferred
- Hands-on experience with diesel-electric propulsion systems preferred
- High level of safety awareness and attention to detail
- Prepared to work shift patterns and emergency response duties
