Training and Development

Work Hours
When you join our team, your core working hours will be 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. However, we are strong believers in work-life balance, so we have a flex-time scheme in place, meaning you can opt to start your working day an hour earlier or an hour later.

Gym Flexi-Time
We fully support the idea that a healthy body equals a healthy mind. So, if you wish to use your lunch break to visit the gym, your break will be extended by an extra 30 minutes, with the time made up at the start or end of the day.

Annual Leave Entitlement
When you join our team, you will be entitled to at least 23 days of annual leave per year, including statutory bank holidays. This increases with promotions and service, up to a maximum of 35 days annually.

Maternity and Paternity Pay
Many of us at Select are parents, so we understand the importance of spending quality time with your family. We, therefore, express our loyalty to our employees taking maternity and paternity leave by making additional contributions during this time.
Pension
Planning for the future is vital. So, we provide you with a pension through the well-established NEST pension scheme. We contribute a minimum of 3%, and you contribute 5% of your salary, meaning a total of 8% is paid into your pension pot.

Sabbaticals
After completing 5 years of service with us, you will be entitled to a month-long sabbatical. Not only will this sabbatical be fully paid by us, but you will also receive additional annual leave to use during this time.

Regular Appraisals
To support your development in the company, we hold appraisals throughout the year, which consist of quarterly check-in meetings and an end-of-year review. These appraisals are designed to review your performance against your targets and provide an opportunity for consideration for promotion and salary increases.
